THE REFERENCE DATABASE
A rule for almost every occasion. Explore 103 reference entries from television, books and comics. Each rule is described in our own words, with its source and any important caveat. The brief quotation of rule 7 is marked separately.
The DS9-era collection has 285 rules, but many numbers have never been revealed. We keep screen dialogue, book variants, Zek’s temporary revisions and improvised additions distinct. Unnumbered or disputed sayings are labeled rather than given an invented number.
How do the references and quiz work? We check the rule’s meaning, number and cited work before using it in the game. Book variants can differ from television dialogue. Unnumbered sayings, incomplete dialogue and uncertain attributions stay in the reference section, with explanations, and are excluded from the quiz. Expand any entry to see its sources and context.
